Alexander F. Anderson routinely advises clients on the efficient structuring of taxable and tax-free mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, equity and debt investments, and financial products. Mr. Anderson also has experience in the cross-border tax planning and acquisitions and investment in distressed companies. His clients include investment funds, financial institutions, insurance companies, multinational corporations and high-net worth individuals.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Mr. Anderson practiced at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in New York, where he provided tax advice on all forms of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, insolvency reorganizations and financial products.
Mr. Anderson received his B.A. cum laude in economics from Boston College in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1999. He is a member of the New York Bar.
