Our summer associate program provides the opportunity for law students to get a true understanding of Akin Gump by working with our outstanding partners and associates on real assignments for real clients. The work assignments are well coordinated to ensure ample opportunities for exposure to practice areas of interest and interaction with many of our outstanding professionals. We also offer numerous exciting events designed to ensure our summer colleagues have opportunities to socialize with each other as well as with our associates, counsel and partners. Among the highlights of the summer program is a firmwide summer associate conference in Washington, DC. Not only does this event provide a chance to meet all of the Akin Gump summer associates, but it also includes some unique and memorable events. We also offer significant training to our summer associates and breakfasts and programs that introduce you to the full range of practices. You will leave your summer well informed about the firm and familiar with many of our outstanding attorneys and with life as an Akin Gump associate. We encourage you to join our summer program.
