Our summer associate program provides the opportunity for law students to get a true understanding of Akin Gump by working with our outstanding partners and associates on real assignments for real clients. The work assignments are well coordinated to ensure ample opportunities for exposure to practice areas of interest and interaction with many of our outstanding professionals. We also offer events designed to ensure our summer colleagues have opportunities to get to know each other as well our associates, counsel and partners. Training is also a significant part of our summer program, as well as programs that introduce summer associates to the full range of practices. Summer associates will leave the summer well informed about the firm and familiar with many of our outstanding attorneys and with life as an Akin Gump associate.
