Summer Associate Recruiting Brochure
Our summer programs in the Austin, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Antonio, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices provide the opportunity for exceptional law students to work on challenging and interesting assignments from a variety of practice areas, as well as an opportunity to get involved in pro bono assignments. Our summer associates receive excellent training, mentoring and feedback on their progress, all of which affords them an authentic investment in the firm and in their work. We want our summer associates to have a clear picture of the diversity of work, resources and culture available to them at Akin Gump, as well as a clear sense of what it’s like to practice law in these cities.
All of our offices offer interesting work assignments, comprehensive training and mentoring programs, and an opportunity to socialize with partners and lawyers while getting to know the city, but the specifics of each program vary with respect to the practice areas in which each office specializes, the size of the branch and the culture of the city.
