Cassandra Garza’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation.

Ms. Garza’s litigation experience includes pretrial support in complex patent-infringement litigation involving industries as diverse as medical devices and data integration software.

In addition to litigation, Ms. Garza participates in Akin Gump’s pro bono practice by helping refugees and victims of human rights abuses seek political asylum in the United States.

Ms. Garza received her B.A. in international studies from Baylor University in 2006 and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010.

Ms. Garza is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Young Lawyer’s Association and the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Garza is also a member of the San Antonio office’s diversity committee.

Ms. Garza is admitted to practice before all Texas state courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
