Christina A. Jump’s practice focuses on employment litigation. Ms. Jump has counseled and defended employers on matters related to discrimination and harassment issues; workplace torts, such as negligence, assault and invasion of privacy; protection of trade secrets; covenants-not-to-compete; confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements; whistleblower claims; wage and hour disputes; and other workplace-related issues. She also advises businesses on a wide range of employment matters, including policies, training, discipline, termination, reductions in force, internal investigations and compliance with federal and state law.

Ms. Jump received her B.A. in 1993 from the University of Illinois, with Distinction in English, and her J.D. in 1996 from the University of Houston. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section), the Dallas Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section) and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. She is admitted to practice before all Texas courts; the U.S. District courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She is board certified in Labor and Employment by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Jump is also certified as a Mediator and has conducted mediations in employment, personal injury and contract dispute cases. She has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer in employment law in 2006 and 2007, based on surveys of her peers in the legal profession.

Ms. Jump is also active in local associations, including serving on the board of directors for the Dallas Young Lawyers in 2007 and 2008, the board of directors of the Dallas Women’s Lawyer’s Association in 2006, 2007 and 2008, and as a trustee on the board for the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. Ms. Jump is honored to be a Fellow in the charitable organizations of both the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation. Ms. Jump also serves on a part-time basis as an associate hearing officer for the city of Dallas, presiding over civil property code enforcement hearings.
