Connor Mullin focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation and congressional investigations.
Mr. Mullin has represented individual clients in a variety of criminal matters, in which he has written briefs and presented oral argument. His recent experience includes arguing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit on behalf of an accountant and money manager charged with mail fraud. He also regularly assists in the representation of companies in connection with internal, congressional and Department of Justice investigations.
Mr. Mullin has been published in the Journal of Supreme Court History and the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. In 2010, Justice Samuel A. Alito presented Mr. Mullin with the Hughes-Gossett Award for his article “Edward Bennett Williams for the Petitioner: Profile of a Supreme Court Advocate.” The Hughes-Gossett Award—given on behalf of the Supreme Court Historical Society—honors the best article about the Supreme Court written by a student.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Mr. Mullin served as a legal intern to the Honorable Christopher A. Boyko, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Mr. Mullin received his J.D. from Georgetown University in 2009, where he was managing editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. He received his B.A. in 2005 from John Carroll University, where he served as the commencement speaker and won the Millor Oratory Award.
