Carolyn E. Perez concentrates on domestic and international communications matters related to broadcast, satellite, wireless and common carrier companies, including licensing, regulatory compliance and transactional issues. Ms. Perez represents clients before the FCC and other communications related agencies.

Prior to entering law school, Ms. Perez served as an aide to Congressman Sander M. Levin (MI-12) in his Washington, D.C. campaign and district offices. She also served as the Youth Director for the 12th District of Michigan Kerry Campaign, worked for Michigan State Senator Ken DeBeaussaert from the 11th State Senate District and clerked for the Macomb County Corporation Counsel. Additionally, Ms. Perez has interned for the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina of the U.S. District Court, Washington, D.C. and for the D.C. Public Defender Service.

Ms. Perez received her B.A. cum laude in Political Science and her B.S. cum laude in Broadcast Journalism from Miami University of Ohio in 2001. While at Miami University, Ms. Perez was honored with the President’s Distinguished Service Award and the Miami University Community Service Award. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan in 2007.
