Don P. Amlin’s practice covers a variety of civil and criminal litigation matters, with a particular focus on antitrust litigation.
Before joining Akin Gump, Mr. Amlin clerked from 2005 to 2006 for the Honorable Barbara Milano Keenan of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Previously, Mr. Amlin was a judicial intern for the Honorable Stephen H. Glickman of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Mr. Amlin received his B.A. with honors in political science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002 and his J.D. cum laude in 2005 from the George Washington University Law School, where he received the Imogen Williford Constitutional Law Award at graduation. While in law school, Mr. Amlin was notes editor of The Public Contract Law Journal and served as the chairman and problem author of the Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, vice president of the Moot Court Board, and was both a dean’s fellow and a writing fellow for the Legal Research and Writing Program. In addition, Mr. Amlin represented the law school during the regional rounds and national finals of the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Mr. Amlin is admitted in Virginia only, practicing under the supervision of the partners of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
