Din Eshanov is a member of the international transactions group and focuses his practice on a wide range of general corporate matters with specific emphasis on finance. Mr. Eshanov has advised a number of private equity sponsors and portfolio companies in connection with leveraged buyouts and syndicated loans. He has also represented borrowers in obtaining financing for acquisition and general corporate purposes. Furthermore, he has an active restructuring practice and has represented numerous official and unofficial creditors’ committees in providing debtor-in-possession and exit financing for distressed companies and advised on debt for equity exchanges.
Mr. Eshanov was a secondee to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company PJSC, a leading global investment company. While at Masdar, Mr. Eshanov negotiated and drafted numerous engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements for the development and construction of photovoltaic plants and wind turbines and related financing agreements. He also negotiated agreements relating to carbon capture and sequestration with leading Middle Eastern oil and gas companies.
In addition to his mainstream corporate work, Mr. Eshanov has successfully represented a number of pro bono clients on matters ranging from applications for asylum in the United States to setting up and operating non-governmental entities for charitable purposes.
