Awards & Accolades

Day to day, Akin Gump’s commitment is apparent in our efforts to attract and retain minority law students, our commitment to place female and minority attorneys in leadership positions and our commitment to diversity in our partnership policy. These initiatives are more than cosmetic. Akin Gump recognizes that progress in matters of diversity comes only from taking concrete steps to maintain and improve both hiring and retention practices. In sum, diversity is a basic tenet of Akin Gump’s practice and philosophy.

Akin Gump has made great strides toward becoming an inclusive organization and we are continually working to surpass our previous efforts by improving recruitment, retention and promotion of diverse attorneys, and by reaching out to an increasingly diverse cross-section of the legal community through our diversity initiatives, business development, community involvement and pro bono engagements.

Akin Gump is proud that our diversity efforts have yielded measurable results and significant recognition, including—
