Mentoring & Promotion


Akin Gump believes that recruiting alone is insufficient to ensure the continued participation of diverse lawyers in the legal profession. We believe that we must actively support our lawyers and create a positive environment to encourage them to continue their careers at Akin Gump.
Through a variety of mentoring programs sponsored by practice managers, diversity committees and recruiting, the firm works to ensure that all associates and counsel are mentored throughout their career with Akin Gump.

The firm’s efforts also extend to the broader community in which our lawyers practice. Lawyers in all our offices are committed to diversity-related community outreach, with lawyers involved both personally and professionally in a wide array of activities and pro bono engagements which benefit minority groups and organizations.
