Doreen Yan Yan’s professional areas include international corporate transaction matters, intellectual property (IP) rights and Chinese regulatory issues. She assists foreign clients with due diligence investigations regarding their M&A projects and direct investment in China. Ms. Yan also assists clients by collaborating with other Akin Gump attorneys regarding U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act/Chinese antibribery laws, Chinese employment laws and IP laws. In particularly, she assists foreign clients in dealing with trademark search and filing as well as domain name registration in China.
Ms. Yan received her LL.M. in IP Law from Peking University in 2010. In 2008, she received her LL.B. from Peking University Law School and Dual Bachelor Degree in Economics from China Center for Economic Research of Peking University.
Ms. Yan is a member of the Chinese bar and is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
