Alexis focuses her practice on investment management matters, including the formation and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds. She represents funds with varying investment strategies, including private equity funds and hedge funds.

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Alexis was an associate in the investment management group of another international law firm’s New York office.

While at Howard University School of Law, Alexis served as senior solicitations and submissions editor of the Howard Law Journal. She was also a global fellow in the Howard University School of Law ADR Consortium conducting research on human rights in the Dominican Republic.
