Biography
  • Represents individuals and institutions in complex corporate transactions.

Emily is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. She assists clients on an array of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance, securities offerings and finance transactions.

Prior to joining Akin as a summer associate, Emily was a legal intern for the Filmmakers Legal Clinic and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Prior to that, Emily was a case assistant for another international law firm based in New York City.

Emily earned her B.A. summa cum laude in criminal justice from George Washington University and her J.D. cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a staff editor for the Cardozo Law Review and a legal writing teaching assistant.
