Hilda is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, where she advises clients on a range of litigation matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Hilda served as a law clerk to the Honorable Beth Robinson of the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. She was also a law clerk for the Board of Immigration Appeals of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Hilda earned her J.D. cum laude from University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she served as the staff editor and senior notes editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. While in law school, she was selected to be student counsel for the UC Law SF Appellate Project, where she successfully represented her client (Diaz-Reynoso v. Barr) before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. She earned her B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science and American Studies from the California State University, Fullerton.
