J.R. counsels fund sponsors, managers, investors and other clients in all aspects of fund formation and operations.

While in law school, J.R. served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Wendy W. Berger of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and as a Legal Extern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Investment Management. J.R. was also a member of Akin’s 2022 summer associate class.

J.R. earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was selected for and completed the Business Law Scholars program. He also received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida, where he was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.
