Mark H. Barth’s practice concentrates on the legal aspects of professional investment management, especially in transnational settings.

Practice & Background

Mr. Barth has extensive experience in all aspects of structuring, restructuring, documenting and operating offshore investment funds and U.S. private investment funds, including ERISA, tax and securities laws issues. He also has extensive experience in counseling U.S. and foreign clients on U.S. investment advisor regulatory considerations. He has advised on creation of and regulatory compliance for UCITS vehicles. His practice extends to both hedge and private equity funds, as well as funds dedicated to investing in hedge or private equity funds.

Mr. Barth is a member of the New York Bar and the American Bar Association’s Investment Companies and Investment Advisers Subcommittee.

Mr. Barth lectures regularly on the legal aspects of investment management, including formation and operation of private investment funds.
