Biography
  • Concentrates practice on corporate restructurings.

Patrick is an associate in the firm’s financial restructuring practice. His practice focuses on complex chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy litigation, and out-of-court restructurings. Patrick advises debtors, official and unofficial committees of unsecured creditors, debtor-in-possession lenders, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy-related matters, both domestic and internationally.

Prior to joining Akin, Patrick was an attorney for another leading global law firm in their restructuring and bankruptcy practice. He also previously served a two-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Bill Parker, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Texas.

Representative Work
  • Curo Group Holding Corp.: Counsel to the debtor, a leading consumer credit lender serving the U.S. and Canada, in its chapter 11 cases involving over $2.1 billion of debt.
  • GenesisCare: Counsel to an ad hoc group of secured creditors and DIP lenders in the chapter 11 cases of GenesisCare, a global health care provider specializing in cancer treatment, involving $1.7 billion in liabilities.
