Akin Gump Providing Legal Counsel to Rockefeller Foundation Initiative on Infrastructure Investment

As reported by a variety of media outlets, Akin Gump will provide legal counsel in support of an initiative funded by the Rockefeller Foundation to improve urban infrastructure.
The first phase of what has been called the RE.invest Initiative takes the form of a two-year program involving investment in the development of urban stormwater infrastructure systems in eight partner cities: San Francisco, Calif.; Miami Beach, Fla.; New Orleans, La.; Hoboken, N.J.; Honolulu, Hawaii; El Paso, Texas; Milwaukee, Wis,; and Norfolk, Va. Firm client c.dots development has partnered with other sustainability firms on the RE.invest initiative.
Akin Gump’s effort, led by public law and policy partner Susan Lent, whose practice focuses on the development and implementation of transportation and other infrastructure projects, will mesh with those of the engineering and finance firms that form part of this effort to help each city find sustainable solutions to stormwater management.
