Akin Gump senior policy counsel Francine Friedman was quoted by Business Insurance for its article “Cyber breaches could prompt cooperation in Congress” on what the publication characterizes as the “strong chance” that stalled cybersecurity legislation may gain approval in the incoming Congress.

Friedman, whose practice includes a focus on data security and privacy, noted that “we could see [the incoming Congress] actually coalescing around” uniform data breach notification standards.
