Ed Pagano Named to Univ. of Vermont Board of Trustees

Akin Gump public law and policy partner Ed Pagano has been appointed by Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin to a six-year term on the University of Vermont’s board of trustees. As gubernatorial appointee, he joins three legislative trustees, elected by the Vermont General Assembly to serve six-year terms, and a student trustee, who will serve a two-year term, on the school’s board.

Pagano graduated from the University of Vermont in 1985 and has served in the legislative and executive branches of the federal government for most of his career, including as chief of staff to Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and as deputy assistant to the president for legislative affairs in the Obama administration.
