Prakash Mehta Named a Finalist for SmartCEO’s 2014 CPA & ESQ Awards

(New York) – For SmartCEO magazine’s 2014 CPA & ESQ Awards, Akin Gump partner Prakash Mehta was selected by an independent committee of local business leaders as an Attorney of the Year finalist.
Mehta, who co-leads Akin Gump’s investment funds and private equity practice, was noted for succeeding “in attaining top-of-market clients through his ability to identify and clearly communicate both enterprise and legal risks.” He was also cited for guiding a client through “the successful formation, negotiation and launch of a first-of-its-kind hedge fund focused on investments in India.”
The CPA & ESQ awards recognize Greater New York’s top accountants and attorneys for privately held companies. The selection committee chose the finalists based on the quality of nominations submitted. Awards were presented to those who have made an outstanding impact on their clients’ privately held businesses.
