Sarah Schultz Recognized as “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnarounds & Workouts

(Dallas) – Akin Gump financial restructuring partner Sarah Schultz has been recognized as one of the Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers for 2015 by Turnarounds & Workouts in its annual honors for the best restructuring practitioners under 40.
Among the matters spotlighted by T&W in its profile were Ms. Schultz’s work leading the representation of Quicksilver Resources and 13 domestic subsidiaries, with notable court approval of heavily contested cash collateral motion on interim basis, as well as her co-leadership in the representation of unsecured creditors of Excel Maritime Carriers; an ad hoc group of unsecured noteholders of Genco Shipping & Trading; and Bayside Capital, primary holder of approximately $150 million in secured debt in The Dolan Company.
