Fredricka Dorroh’s energy, land use and environmental practice focuses on advising and representing clients in a variety of areas, including regulatory and compliance matters, corporate transactions and litigation.
Prior to joining Akin Gump’s energy, land use and environmental practice, Ms. Dorroh was a member of Akin Gump’s corporate finance and merger and acquisition practice. She represented clients in secured credit facilities, mergers and acquisitions, debt tender offers and various corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Dorroh worked for seven years in various positions of responsibility for American Funds, one of the nation's largest mutual fund companies.
Ms. Dorroh is currently a member of the Dallas office’s diversity committee.
Ms. Dorroh received her B.A. in accounting in 2000 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her J.D. cum laude in 2006 from the St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she was comment editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal and a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing program. She was also a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity.
Ms. Dorroh is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Young Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Ms. Dorroh serves on the board of Friends of Girls Inc.
