Graeme Bell represents private equity and hedge funds as well as corporate clients, providing advice on all aspects of corporate law, in particular cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring and insolvency issues. He advises both public and private companies and investors with regard to the acquisition and disposal of assets in addition to ongoing compliance issues.
Mr. Bell has represented global companies and investors over a wide spectrum of sectors including energy, transport, financial services, retail, entertainment and technology.
Mr. Bell was based in Akin Gump's New York office from 2009 to 2010. Prior to joining Akin Gump in 2008, Mr. Bell spent seven years at another leading international law firm in London during which time he was seconded for nine months to one of the world’s largest media multinationals and also worked in Frankfurt, Germany for six months.
Mr. Bell received his B.A. in German and Italian from Bristol University in 1999 and gained commendations in the Post Graduate Diploma in Law in 2000 and the Legal Practice Course in 2001, both at Nottingham Law School. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003.
