Hyland Hunt's practice focuses on federal and state appellate and commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Hunt served as a law clerk from 2009 to 2010 for Justice John Paul Stevens, United States Supreme Court. From 2008 to 2009, she served as a law clerk for Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg, United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Ms. Hunt received her A.B. magna cum laude in government from Harvard University in 1998. After college, she served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force before studying law at the University of Michigan Law School. She received her J.D. summa cum laude in 2008 from Michigan, where she was on the editorial board of the Michigan Law Review. Ms. Hunt is also a captain in the Air Force Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
Ms. Hunt is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Armed Forces.
