Julie M. Kaufer has extensive experience in a wide range of corporate and financial transactions, with particular emphasis in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and debt securities offerings, and federal and state securities law reporting requirements. She principally advises middle-market clients, including companies in the retail apparel, food service, and consumer product industries. Ms. Kaufer regularly handles matters involving initial and secondary public offerings, tender offers, compliance with '34 Act reporting requirements, mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities, executive compensation programs and shareholder agreements. She also has broad experience advising clients on corporate governance issues and crisis management.

Ms. Kaufer received her B.S. in 1986 from Tufts University and her J.D. in 1991 from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of Order of the Coif, the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and the Loyola Law Review . She is a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and the California Bar.
