Kseniya Elfimova is an English qualified Solicitor, whose practice focuses on international arbitration and international dispute resolution, covering a broad range of contentious matters. In particular, Ms. Elfimova represents clients in disputes in international commercial and investment arbitrations relating to complex cross-border financial structures, large infrastructure projects, and oil and gas pipelines.

Her practice has also focused on international litigations, representing entities in banking and financial services and manufacturing and supply sectors and industries. Specifically, Ms. Elfimova has advised major banking and financial institutions and funds in respect of losses arising from a multi-billion dollar fraud, issues arising out of eastern European investments, disputes relating to insurance coverage, long term commodity supply contracts in the energy industry and large multi-jurisdictional negligence litigation concerning off-shore funds.

Ms. Elfimova is actively involved with the issues related to the UK Bribery Act 2010, and has frequently advised on the developments in the UK bribery law and the impact of bribery convictions on commercial entities and individuals in light of various European directives. Ms. Elfimova monitored and reported on high-profile extradition proceedings arising out of cross-border bribery and corruption accusations, and has conducted work in relation to fraud and money laundering issues, including assistance in drafting of client updates on new developments in the area and liaison with various connected institutions, such as the Attorney General’s office in the UK, Hong Kong and Indonesia, the Serious Fraud Office and the Fraud Advisory Panel. Ms. Elfimova has co-authored a number of client alerts and articles on the Bribery Act 2010 and its potential reach and effect.

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Elfimova worked for leading UK and US firms based in London.
