Laurence A. Benenson’s practice focuses on labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination, labor relations and governmental reporting compliance. Mr. Benenson represents clients on matters arising under various labor and employment statutes, including: Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act and the Railway Labor Act. He is also actively involved in the firm’s pro bono practice and has represented clients in family law and immigration matters.
Mr. Benenson received his B.A. with highest distinction in political science, economics and history in 2003 from the University of Michigan, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. in 2006 from Harvard Law School, where he served on the Harvard Journal on Legislation and was treasurer of the Harvard Law School Forum. While attending law school, Mr. Benenson was a law clerk at the Department of Justice, Federal Programs Branch.
Mr. Benenson is a member of the District of Columbia and California Bars.
