Miriam Barhoush’s practice areas include private equity, corporate and global projects. Ms. Barhoush focuses on commercial and corporate transactional work in Dubai and the Middle East region. Her experience includes—
  • conducting due diligence and drafting due diligence reports and other documentation relating to various transactions, including private placement offerings, initial public offerings and various acquisitions
  • representing various international and regional clients on business sales and joint venture arrangements, including drafting and reviewing the relevant documentation, such as joint venture agreements, sale purchase agreements, management agreements and related documentation
  • advising clients on setting up in the Dubai International Financial Centre, which includes negotiating and drafting leases, drafting employment agreements, and advising on licensing and regulation with the Dubai Financial Services Authority
  • advising various multinational corporate clients on commercial and corporate law issues in the United Arab Emirates and various free zones.

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Barhoush practiced law at Allen & Overy LLP in Dubai.

Ms. Barhoush received her B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University in 2000, her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2004 and her M.P.P. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2005. She is a member of the New York Bar.
