Michael S. McIntosh’s practice focuses on labor and employment law. Mr. McIntosh represents clients before administrative, state and federal courts in matters involving a number of federal and state statutes, including the Federal Labor Relations Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Prior to joining Akin Gump in 2006, Mr. McIntosh was an associate in the Orange County, California, office of another law firm, where he concentrated on civil appellate litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. McIntosh received his B.A. cum laude in government from Georgetown University in 2000. He received his J.D. in 2003 from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of The Journal of Law & Politics and the Lile Moot Court board.

Mr. McIntosh is a member of the District of Columbia and California bars. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd and 9th Circuits.
