Nato Tskhakaya has represented major Russian oil and gas companies, diversified holdings, private equity funds and a number of other Russian and international clients. Ms. Tskhakaya has also participated in the due diligence of various Russian companies in oil and gas, power wholesale, medical services and other industries.
Ms. Tskhakaya’s main experience includes—
- representing the world's largest producer of nickel in a $2.27 billion transaction in connection with the sale of its entire stake in a major Russian wholesale power generator
- representing a major Russian management company that manages copper and nickel mining projects in the $240 million sale of its controlling stakes in large Russian coking coal producers
- representing a major international development company in the more than $200 million sale of a Class A business center in central Moscow
- representing the world’s leading manufacturer of construction equipment in obtaining Russian antimonopoly approval for the more than $7 billion acquisition of a maker of large-scale surface and underground mining machinery
- representing a leading European independent asset manager in its acquisition of shares in a Russian bank.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Tskhakaya worked as an associate in the Moscow office of a large international law firm.
Ms. Tskhakaya received her D.L from Moscow State University in 2007 and her LL.M. from Duke University School of Law in 2010. She is a native speaker of Russian, is fluent in English and has a good knowledge of Georgian.
