Romeao Jennings is an associate in the firm’s intellectual property practice, where he focuses primarily on complex patent litigation.
Mr. Jennings clerked with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he analyzed, drafted and assisted with negotiating software and other IP licenses. He also gained experience representing clients as a student attorney for the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Before obtaining his J.D., Mr. Jennings worked as a software engineer at NCR and The Reynolds and Reynolds Company.
Mr. Jennings earned his J.D. summa cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law, where he was a member of the Administrative Law Review. He earned his B.S. cum laude in computer science from Wright State University.
Mr. Jennings is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas and the Northern and Central Districts of California.
Mr. Jennings is licensed to practice in California only and under the supervision of the partners of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Mr. Jennings’ application for admission to the District of Columbia Bar is pending.
