Rebekah Jones counsels clients on U.S. law and policy affecting international trade and business, including export control laws, sanction programs, customs law, anticorruption laws and foreign investment in the United States. Among other things, she has worked with clients in various industries, particularly aerospace and defense, to successfully—
- develop and implement compliance programs and strategies
- conduct internal reviews, audits and investigations
- prepare voluntary disclosures
- negotiate settlements with relevant agencies
- draft license and agreement applications and other submissions to relevant agencies.

- defense trade controls (ITAR) administered by the U.S. Department of State (DDTC)
- dual-use export controls (EAR) and antiboycott regulations administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce (BIS, OAC, Census)
- U.S. sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- Exon-Florio, administered by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)
- U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ms. Jones received her J.D. with honors in 2009 from The George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of The George Washington International Law Review. She received her B.S. in 2004 from the University of Rochester and is a member of the District of Columbia and California bars.
