Rhys E. Salmon’s practice focuses on the establishment, operation and organization of private investment funds, including hedge funds, in a variety of jurisdictions.
Having trained at a “magic circle” law firm in London, Mr. Salmon was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2009. He worked as in-house counsel at a leading U.K. asset manager before joining Akin Gump in 2011.
Mr. Salmon obtained his M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from Christ Church, Oxford, where he was a Boulter Exhibitioner. He subsequently gained his Graduate Diploma in Law (with merit) (2005) and his Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (commended) (2006) from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
