Steve Fayne focuses on media finance and advises various financial institutions with respect to their international film and television lending. He also counsels borrowers, distributors, completion guarantors, independent producers, equity investors and others involved in various aspects of the financing of film and television projects. In addition, he advises film and television clients with respect to tax-advantaged financing, subsidies and co-production arrangements in various countries around the world.

Mr. Fayne served as chairman of the Entertainment Law Committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and as a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Copyright Society. He teaches international film financing in the graduate level Producer's Program at the University of California Los Angeles' School of Film and Television and has lectured extensively on entertainment-related topics for various organizations, including the state bars of New York and Nevada, the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills bar associations, the University of Southern California, Stanford University, the Sorbonne, the French National Audio Visual Institute, the Independent Feature Project, the American Film Market, the American Film Institute and Women In Film.

Mr. Fayne received his B.A. in political science in 1967 from Kent State University and his J.D., cum laude in 1970 from Columbia Law School, where he was an editor of the Columbia Law Review. He is a member of the California Bar.
