Stephen M. Jordan focuses on the tax-efficient structuring of domestic and cross-border debt and equity investments. Mr. Jordan regularly advises investment funds, high-net-worth individuals and multinational corporations, including financial institutions, on the tax implications of international private equity investments; financial products; and domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and restructurings.
Mr. Jordan received his B.A. in 1991 from the University of the South, his J.D. cum laude in 1995 from the Southern Methodist University School of Law and his LL.M. in 1998 from the New York University School of Law. He is a member of the New York and Texas bars.
Mr. Jordan is a co-author of "Asset and Stock Transfers Involving Foreign Corporations - Working with the 367(b) Final Regs.," The Journal of Taxation (September 2000).
