Tony D. Feuerstein’s practice focuses on representing both strategic and financial clients in a broad range of public and private M&A transactions, including both negotiated and unsolicited transactions, tender and exchange offers, mergers, leveraged buyouts, stock and asset purchases, divestitures and cross-border transactions. He also provides clients with general corporate and securities law advice.
In addition, he has served as corporate and transactional counsel in bankruptcy and workout transactions and restructurings, including representing official and informal creditors committees in Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and exchange offerings, and sale transactions of distressed companies in Chapter 11 proceedings.
Mr. Feuerstein joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in 2008. He previously was an associate at a major New York based global corporate law firm.
Mr. Feuerstein received his B.A. in political science and economics in 1995 from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and his J.D. in 2001 from Harvard Law School. In addition, he received a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Prior to law school, he worked for two years as an economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
