Yewande A. Akinwolemiwa focuses her practice on financial restructuring matters, with an emphasis on the representation of debtors and creditors' committees in large, complex cases.
Ms. Akinwolemiwa received her B.A. summa cum laude in international studies and Spanish in 2003 from Midwestern State University. She received her J.D. in 2006 from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was an associate editor of the Washington University Law Review from 2004 to 2006 and president of the International Law Society from 2004 to 2005. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Akinwolemiwa was a judicial intern for the Honorable Henry Autrey of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
