Akin Earns Perfect Score on Corporate Equality Index for 16th Consecutive Year

For the 16th consecutive year, Akin has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars: nondiscrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, support for an inclusive culture, corporate social responsibility.

Akin’s workplace policies have received several recent recognitions, including its fourth consecutive Mansfield Certification Plus, which measures law firms’ progress in the areas of inclusivity and leadership diversity (learn more here), and its 10th consecutive selection by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption for being among the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces (learn more here).
