Aaron Ruleman leads and directs the team responsible for the strategy, governance and continuous evolution of the firm’s information services—inclusive of information technology, e-discovery and trial services. In this role, he collaborates with the firm’s lawyers and professional staff to define and leverage highly secure and innovative solutions that enhance the firm and empower its internal and external clients.

Aaron has more than 25 years of experience in global law firms, financial services, health care, government and nonprofit operations. He is a graduate of Loyola University’s executive M.B.A. program and is certified in Legal Lean Six Sigma® and project management.

Before joining Akin, Aaron was head of global information management at another large international law firm, where he led a cross-continental department serving clients and customers operating from more than 40 countries and six continents. Prior to that and at the same firm, he was head of infrastructure and operations, leading the group responsible for ensuring highly secure data center storage, facilities, network engineering, client device engineering and collaboration systems engineering.

Earlier in his career, Aaron was the vice president of information technology (IT) operations at Enterprise Business Partners, Inc. and was responsible for the management and oversight for all elements of its national IT infrastructure and technical support services.
