Anastasia Konstantinova is an associate in Akin Gump’s Moscow office. She specializes in advising clients on corporate law, competition and litigation issues. Her experience includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, conducting due diligence of Russian companies in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and real estate sectors, as well as participating in internal investigations.

Representative Matters

Mrs. Konstantionova’s engagements include:

  • advising Garsdale (a subsidiary of USM) on a US$1.78 billion sale of Yota, a leading Russian 4G operator, to MegaFon, a leading Russian mobile operator
  • Renova, a leading private business group, on the consolidation of its shareholding in logistics and storage business, Multinational Logistics Partnership (MLP), one of Russia and Ukraine’s largest and most successful logistics operators and on the subsequent sale of 100% of its shares
  • advising LUKOIL on its acquisition of 100% interest in oil company Samara-Nafta for $2.05 billion from Hess Corporation
  • advising AF Telecom in relation to MegaFon’s $8.5 billion shareholder restructuring, which resulted in AF Telecom becoming a majority shareholder of MegaFon
  • advising clients in formation of non-state pension funds investment strategies
  • carried out an anti-money laundering investigation involving Russian retail energy sales holding and Hungarian oil and gas contractors
  • representing clients in competition clearance for the acquisitions of Russian companies
