Brittany Tarr Cragg focuses her practice on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on the formation and ongoing operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds.

Practice & Background

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Cragg practiced at a large firm in Chicago as an advisor to mutual funds. She represented open- and closed-end registered investment companies and mutual fund boards of directors. Her practice also focused on compliance.

In law school, Ms. Cragg served as an executive managing editor of the Emory International Law Review, and received the Red Pen Award for Excellence in Legal Editing for her work on that publication. She received the Dean’s Award in Comparative and International Family Law.

Community Involvement

Ms. Cragg’s community, civic, and charitable activities include serving as guardian ad litem with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
