Elaine N. Simeon is an associate in the investment management practice, focusing primarily on the formation and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds.

Ms. Simeon assists fund sponsors in matters involving the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of domestic and offshore private equity funds and hedge funds. She also represents institutional investors acquiring and selling investments in private equity and hedge funds.

Ms. Simeon received her J.D. in 2014 from the New York University School of Law. While at NYU, she founded Running from the Law, a distance running club, and served as a staff editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law. Ms. Simeon received her B.A. cum laude in History and Sociology of Science in 2008 from the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Simeon was a corporate associate at another major international law firm.
