Practice & Background

Mr. Cail’s practice focuses on U.S. law and policy affecting international trade and business. Relevant agencies and areas of law include:

  • defense trade controls administered by the U.S. Department of State (DDTC) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • dual-use export controls administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce (BIS) under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • U.S. sanctions programs administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  • U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)

Mr. Cail earned his J.D. in 2009 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a member of the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and was an exchange student at National Law School of India University (NLS) in Bangalore. Following law school, Mr. Cail worked at the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security.
