Marianne Mulcahey represents clients before Congress and the administration, working with them to develop and execute successful legislative and regulatory strategies. She has focused on public law and policy matters that primarily impact municipal governments, ports, transportation agencies and construction companies.
To effectively advise and represent clients in these industries, Ms. Mulcahey tracks a wide variety of legislative and regulatory issues involving telecommunications, immigration, law enforcement, energy, transportation and water infrastructure, as well as appropriations.
Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Ms. Mulcahey gained valuable experience at a well-known Washington lobbying firm, assisting with management of a large coalition engaged in securities litigation reform, and with an international mining company, assisting with environmental and leasing issues.
Additionally, Ms. Mulcahey has worked with pro bono clients seeking funding for clinical research for a rare disease, and she has advocated on behalf of trafficking victims.
