(Washington) – Akin Gump is proud to announce that, on April 4, it will again be recognized among local law firms for “outstanding leadership in pro bono service,” as the chief judges of the District of Columbia federal courts hold the 16th annual “40 at 50” ceremony.

The ceremony honors law firms at which at least 40 percent of all lawyers dedicated 50 or more hours in 2018 to pro bono legal representation of individuals with limited financial means or to charitable organizations.

Akin Gump is again among the group of law firms that surpassed that benchmark to reach “50 at 50,” or 50 percent of all lawyers performing 50 or more hours of pro bono.

The ceremony will be held in the William B. Bryant Annex Atrium of the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse.
