Akin Gump Adds Partner in Abu Dhabi

(Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) – Chadi A. Salloum has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Abu Dhabi as a partner in the corporate practice. 

Mr. Salloum represents sovereign entities, multinational companies and financial institutions on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; restructurings; private equity matters; privatizations; spinoffs; strategic alliances; tender offers; initial public offerings; rights offerings; and private placements of equity, equity-linked and debt securities.  In addition, Mr. Salloum advises clients with respect to compliance matters and reporting obligations.

Mr. Salloum received his B.P.A. with honors in 1995 and his LL.B. in 1998 from the University of Windsor (Canada).  He received his LL.M. in 2000 from the Georgetown University Law Center.  He is a fluent Arabic speaker.  Mr. Salloum joins the firm from Chiomenti Studio Legale in Rome, where he was international legal counsel.  Previously, he was an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.
