Akin Gump Advises FirstEnergy Subsidiaries in Pollution Control Revenue Refunding Bond Remarketings

(New York) – Akin Gump advised FirstEnergy Corp. and its subsidiaries, FirstEnergy Solutions Corp., FirstEnergy Nuclear Generation, LLC and FirstEnergy Generation, LLC, on the closing today of the remarketings of seven series of tax exempt pollution control revenue refunding bonds originally issued through the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority and the Ohio Water Development Authority. In total, approximately $241 million in bonds were remarketed at fixed interest rates for periods from five to six years.
