Akin Gump Advises HighPoint Resources Noteholders in Company’s Merger with Bonanza Creek Energy

(New York) – Bonanza Creek Energy, Inc. and HighPoint Resources Corporation today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to combine Bonanza Creek and HighPoint in a transaction valued at approximately $376 million as of November 6, 2020. A team from Akin Gump served as legal advisor to an informal group of HighPoint Noteholders.
Upon completion of the transaction, HighPoint noteholders will receive in the aggregate shares representing approximately 30.4 percent of the combined company and up to $100 million of newly issued 7.50 percent senior unsecured notes due 2026.
